A shared practiceto grow lifein place.

Returning Home is a guided journey that helps people reconnect to where they live, discover what their place wants to be, and bring new possibilities to life together.

What becomes possible when we turn home together?

The Three Chapters

Remembering Home

Participatory storytelling to listen to one another and our shared world.

Revealing the Way Home

Experiences and games to sense what is ready to emerge.

Reconnecting & Walking Home

Experience design and collective action to live more fully into our shared world.

How does it work?

The three-chapter pattern works at many scales.

One person can begin alone. A small circle can move through it together. A whole community can return to it again and again.

One of the most powerful moments comes when people see their stories mapped together and recognize something they want to experience in their place together.

Depth grows over time.

A practice that grows shared meaning, belonging, and care for place over time.

The words of participants

Being heard and then also receiving other reflections deepened my sense of gratitude for being in place... there was a sense of shared community and belonging that bubbled to the surface when I knew we were all doing this together.
To be honest I'm feeling a little cracked open. A lot of inspiration and energy has been flowing through me in the last few days and lighting up places where I have felt stagnant...
...there was an invitation to reflect on the ways that we are actually composed of stories... that they make up an integral and foundation place in our lives: the makeup of our personality, and also how we orient, position ourselves, and relate to the larger whole...

You can begin where you are.

Alone and with a journal, or with a friend and grow from there.

Curious about our story and how the practice works? We've shared that here.
